Available in 21 states currently!
Ok, have y’all heard of the GetOutPass? It is truly awesome! Basically, you pay one flat yearly fee and get a TON of free and discounted activities to do around your city for the whole family! We are always looking for fun things to do in Austin and Georgetown as a family, so these are perfect for us! We have been using them on the weekends to get some summer fun in as a family. For us, having these passes has made it really easy and affordable to create and tackle a fun summer bucket list with the kids!
How do you use them??
You will create either an individual or a family account on the GetOutPass website. Next, you’re gonna need to download the app to your mobile phone. From the app, you will be able to access all of your activity passes and discounts! This makes it super easy to keep track of and use when you get to the activity location! I love anything I can use digitally rather than keeping track of physical passes!
How the Company Got Started
The GetOutPass started in 2018 in Utah. One of the founders and his family of 5 wanted to try something new together as a family and decided to go to a rock climbing gym. In the end, the kids didn’t end up having the best time and he got stuck with a bill of over $100! This led him to the idea of the GetOutPass! The GetOutPass allows families to go explore and try new activities in their city without blowing a ton of money in the process!
So Much Room For Activities with this pass!
There are so many activities on our summer bucket list now that we have these passes! One of the things I like about it is that there are a bunch of ideas I wouldn’t have otherwise considered checking out! Like a coding class for kids, batting cages, bowling, mini-golf, and a ton more! The activity we are most excited about crossing off our summer bucket list (with our passes) is going to the Typhoon Texas Waterpark! The activities available to you vary, depending on the city you choose to purchase your passes for.
The weather here in Austin has been dreadful lately! I’m talkin’ 106 degrees Fahrenheit this past weekend! Just awful! The boys and I decided to go check out the Austin Aquarium. Landon had been to the aquarium with his daycare a few years ago, but this was Ethan’s first visit! Mine too! We had so much fun! They even had sharks and sting rays that you could feed and pet. The aquarium also has some additional animal encounters that require you to purchase tokens to participate. Ethan and I did not do any of the animal encounters (Ethan was too young!). Landon on the other hand got to go in and visit with the Lemurs! He had so much fun!
What Other things can I do in Austin??
I hope you are as excited to check out fun activities with the GetOutPass as I am! Are you looking for a fun date night idea to check out in Austin?
