The perfect spot for a girls’ night out and a definite must if you are having a bachelorette party in Austin.

Ever since I’ve been in my 30’s, time just seems to fly by. Suddenly, I wake up and realize I haven’t seen my best friends in 6 months! What the heck!? So, when there IS time to get together with the girls- What busy modern-day woman doesn’t love a good Instagrammable spot? That’s exactly what you will find if you take a trip to Taquero Mucho! This restaurant is perfect for a photo-op, celebrating your bff’s bachelorette party, Galentine’s Day, or having brunch with the girls in Austin, TX.

The restaurant’s original location opened in February of 2020. The Latina-owned company opened its second location on Burnet in the Austin Commons, near The Domain.

This place is bursting at the seams with feminine energy!

Where exactly did the concept for the restaurant come from? Well, according to Taquero Mucho’s website, founder Gabriela Bucio (who also owns Gabriela’s downtown) wanted to create a place that empowers women while simultaneously making them feel loved and celebrated. I think she hit the nail on the head with the restaurant’s gorgeous pink aesthetic.

Grab your favorite matching white, pink, or black outfits, your girlfriends, and head to this beautiful Austin bachelorette party brunch spot.

Plan your next girls’ night out or your bachelorette trip

After my first trip to Taquero Mucho, I definitely wanted to return. The reason why? The food is absolutely amazing, delicious, and affordable!

I went on my first visit to Taquero Mucho with my friend and co-worker on a Friday afternoon. On my second trip to the restaurant, I brought my family and a few friends. My second visit was on a Saturday around noon. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they were serving their brunch menu, SCORE! The brunch menu is available on Saturdays & Sundays from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Let’s talk about the food & drinks

First the appetizer, my mother and I split the Shrimp Ceviche, which was delightfully full of flavor. We ordered a mimosa set up which was $25 for the whole table! They also offer their signature pouch drinks; “Anti-Bitch Juice” which is a frozen rose, as well as their High Maintenance Watermelon CBD Margarita.

It was so difficult to settle on an entre because everything sounded delicious. They even offer chicken & waffles (of course, the waffles are their signature pink color!).

I ended up deciding on the breakfast quesadillas, which did not disappoint! On my first visit, I had their crispy shrimp tacos. Shrimp tacos are pretty much my go-to menu item any time they’re available at a restaurant.

At the time of writing this post, the restaurant does not take reservations. However, both times I have personally visited the Burnet location, I haven’t had to wait long!
