Hey! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Heather Chandler, and I’m a boy momma. I have a 13-year-old and a 1-year-old. Every since I became a mom, my kids became my everything. I live with my two boys and my boyfriend in Georgetown, TX, just north of Austin. Believe it or not, I’m originally from Ontario, Canada. But since I have been living in Texas for over 26 years, I sort of consider myself an honorary Texan at this point.
For the last 3 years I have beeI work full-time doing pediatric physical therapy. Fun fact: I am also a licensed hairstylist and worked in the beauty industry for 7 years before returning to school.
Why I got started
In 2021, I decided to create the blog Breathing Through Motherhood. Overall, I found I was really missing expressing myself through a creative outlet.
Since my 1-year-old son has CF, a cause that I feel extremely passionate about Is fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. I also had a cousin who fought a life-long battle with the illness. So, it is unquestionably a cause that is extremely near and dear to my heart.
In my free time
When I’m not working, I love engaging in activities that allow me to express myself creatively, including painting, styling hair, photography, writing, and content creation. Since I work in physical therapy, you might have guessed that I am also passionate about being physically active. When I make time for exercise, I find it very grounding. I’ve also found that taking time to care for my body allows me to be a better mom. That is something that I find helps calm the chaos within my mind, being a busy mom. I started attending a studio this year which allows me to work out before work. For the most part, I focus on my wellness with reformer pilates and cycling. Also, I am always down for a hiking or outdoor adventure!
